Compalaya Volley Expands into Indoor Volleyball with Community-Driven Growth in Playa del Carmen!

We’re excited to share that Compalaya Volley is extending its impact—strengthening our online presence and proudly supporting the fast-growing indoor volleyball scene in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya!
This next step comes on the heels of our successful PVADEC sponsorship program, which brought structured indoor volleyball training to the local community and planted the seeds for a broader movement.
What began as a grassroots initiative has inspired private players and community leaders to step up and build something lasting. A standout story is that of Sara DiBlasio, a Canadian permanent resident in Mexico, who has taken the lead in forming a new indoor volleyball team—a direct evolution from the charity sessions offered through the PVADEC program.
This is exactly what Compalaya Volley stands for: volleyball with aspiration, heart, and purpose.
We congratulate Sara and her team on this exciting new chapter! Compalaya Volley is proud to support this emerging project and remains committed to fostering high-quality, accessible volleyball—both beach and indoor—for locals and visitors alike.

With over 800 members worldwide, our initiatives and programs ensure the tournament’s global presence, spreading awareness through our vast network of communities, alliances, and partnerships. CTPS Candidates Selection - Andrea & Gretel

Following our notification from January 26, 2025, regarding the CTPS Program "Pre-Announcement: Real Quality Professional vs. Quantity Sensation – Beach Volleyball Coaching Guidance 2025" we are pleased to share an update on upcoming coaching opportunities within the program.
Players from the Riviera Maya community have expressed interest in participating at the Playa del Carmen location. As part of this initiative, two fixed slots in the Tuesday Volley sessions with Coach Michael (UK) have been allocated for CTPS candidates.
The selected CTPS Program participants for personal preparation in Playa del Carmen are:
Andrea (MEX) – from Cancún
Gretel (MEX) – from Playa del Carmen
We look forward to supporting their development and fostering high-quality professional training in beach volleyball.

The Compalaya Volley PVADEC Program Comes to a Conclusion
Date: 19th March 2025
After five months of dedication and growth (November 2024 – March 2025), the Compalaya Volley PVADEC program has officially concluded.
Congratulations to the following outstanding female players from the PVADEC Indoor Volleyball Program:
Ana Machorro (Mexico)
Gretel Carranza (Mexico)
Yesica Hernández (Mexico)
These athletes have demonstrated exceptional technical progress, dedication, discipline, and the ability to meet high-performance standards, proving their readiness for the next level of volleyball development.
By successfully meeting or exceeding 8 out of 10 performance criteria, they have qualified for participation in a professional indoor volleyball training program aligned with the DVV Bundesliga Volleyball Division I & II level standard.
Out of 17 applied participants, these three exceptional players fulfilled the rigorous requirements and were awarded the accredited Compalaya Volley Certificate of Achievement.
The evaluation was conducted by accredited coaches Dr. Martin (Germany) and Michael (United Kingdom), under the structured assessment framework designed by Program Manager Dr. Joerg (Germany).

Después de cinco meses de dedicación y crecimiento (noviembre de 2024 – marzo de 2025), el programa PVADEC de Compalaya Volley ha concluido oficialmente.

Estas atletas han demostrado un progreso técnico excepcional, además de dedicación, disciplina y la capacidad de cumplir con estándares de alto rendimiento, demostrando así su preparación para el siguiente nivel en su desarrollo como jugadoras de voleibol.
Al cumplir o superar satisfactoriamente 8 de los 10 criterios de evaluación, han calificado para participar en un programa profesional de entrenamiento de voleibol indoor, alineado con los estándares de los niveles División I y II de la Bundesliga de Voleibol del DVV.
De un total de 17 participantes inscritas, estas tres jugadoras excepcionales cumplieron con los rigurosos requisitos y fueron galardonadas con el Certificado de Logro Compalaya Volley, acreditado por el programa.
La evaluación fue realizada por los entrenadores acreditados Dr. Martin (Alemania) y Michael (Reino Unido), bajo el marco estructurado de evaluación diseñado por el Director del Programa, Dr. Joerg (Alemania).

On February 27th, 2023, Compalaya Volley was founded by five exceptional individuals from the top levels of business and sports. Gathered in the tranquil setting of the Caribbean Riviera Maya, nestled between Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos, these individuals shared a profound love for volleyball and embarked on a mission to enrich the lives of others.
Their diverse backgrounds, spanning from professional volleyball to academia, business, and family life, brought a wealth of experiences and insights. Guided by the motto of "sharing, giving, and taking without fear of misuse," they aimed to make positive contributions to the local Riviera Maya community and beyond.
Driven by a deep desire to share their knowledge, particularly in volleyball, Compalaya Volley's mission transcended sports. It embraced aspects of life, business, and human connection, striving to elevate lives through values like sportsmanship, respect, and meaningful engagement.
Since its inception, Compalaya Volley has experienced remarkable growth, a testament to the resonance of its honest and sincere direction. Starting with a core group of 160 local and international players based in Playa del Carmen and beyond, we have expanded to include 210 members from affiliated independent volleyball groups across Mexico. With a total of 370 individuals and growing, this steady rise reflects the widespread acceptance of Compalaya Volley's philosophy and its alignment with our members.
However, beyond the numbers, the true essence of Compalaya Volley lies in the unwavering commitment and quality of its members. Our community stands as a living testament to the power of authentic connections and shared values, inspiring camaraderie and dedication. Ultimately, it is the depth of sincerity and genuine engagement that defines our success, transcending statistics and enriching lives in profound ways.
